Thanks! It is a gas fireplace with a blower that sends the heat out into the room. I think we would be okay on that count.

I'm trying to decide how to set up our new family room. It's quite large, with 5 windows and a fireplace. I'd like opinions or ideas. Should I hang our 55" TV above the fireplace? Is this a decorating idea from time gone by? How has that worked out for you, if you have done it?
