As you sleep you may sweat out a fair amount of water, this gets trapped if the mattress is on the floor. The bed frame normally has springs or slats that make sleeping more comfortable
look at Ikea for a very low bed frame
http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/produc...
apart from laying in the cooler air and having to get up and down .. it shouldnt be a problem
but
you know
its not that hard to build your own bed base
you can recycle an existing frame or build your own
give it some thought
consider the design
seriously not that hard
A mattress on the floor is perfectly ok. Make sure you have vacuumed up all the spiders first.
So I'm 15 years old nearly 16 and I'm redoing my room. I love the style of beds that are really low and just look like they are on the floor with no legs but sadly I can only find one website that does similar styles and they are extortionately priced. I was wondering if it would do any damage to me just sleeping on a mattress on the floor? If there will be long term effects then obviously I will just buy a different style of bed but if there isn't really any risk then I will just sleep on that. It will save buying a bed frame too. If anyone however knows anywhere that does beds in this style for a reasonable price within the UK please let me know. Thanks :)
