Small Black flies in house?

Clean the drains in your sinks. I think that sometimes they come from there. Gross, I know, but it happened at a place I worked at.

Just pour bleach or peroxide down the drain and see if it helps.

I get loads of these little flies in summer , they come up from the river I think. They seem to get into the house at night through window vents . Pesky things . I keep my house clean so I don't know what attracts them . Every morning I have to wipe down the window ledge to get rid of them as they are all dead and lying there !! Fly spray helps a bit but that only kills them , it doesn't get rid .

They're annoying.

Here's how I've eradicated them in the past: Get a sandwich baggy and spread a small amount of fruit yogurt inside. Then set the bag in a position with the opening held open somehow. I used paper clips bent to hold it open. When the flies go inside, remove the clips and crush their little friggin bodies between the walls of the plastic between your fingers. Then open it back up to attract more. Eventually you'll have gotten them all. Do this for a week and you'll get the hatchlings before they get a chance to reproduce.

Hope this helped.

Does anyone know what they are? I don't see how the food ideas will help when they're not attracted to anything as it is, its odd how its whenthe weather warms up yet winter there aaren't any

Buy a bug zapper they work for flies.

they like light they won't get into dark places you can turn off the light and guide them outside or just kill them with something like Raid or your flip flops maybe a news paper or even a magazine

You need Infra-red fly zapper.

This is my second spring/summer livin in my new build flat, it has an air recovery system where it pulls in fresh air n removes moisture, basically when the weather warms up I find 5+ small Black flies a day I have no fruit (all stored in fridge) no plants and all windows and doors are shut, any idea what I can do? Or what they are?
