Smoke dimming paint color?

You may have to wash your walls more than once to get rid of the smoke. I use dish washing soap or Shout laundry treatment. When I put out a candle I set a saucer over it or if it has a lid just put the lid on it. The smoke will attach to the inside of the candle and the cover. I do this because I think they stink when blown out.

Make a mixture of 3 parts water to 1 part bleach. Use any kind of spray bottle. Do a test spray on one area. Just spray it on and the next day the stain should be gone. If you do the whole room be sure to close door to the room and open a window if the room has one.

Hi guys, so I have a candle in my bathroom and every time I blow it out, there about 15 sexonds of smoke rising then it fades. Problem is I just noticed the smoke has dirtied the paint on the wall and ceiling. I've taken a sponge and warm water to it to gently scrub it away to no avail. Only result was the sponge was rendered dirty as well. Any tips on appropriate cleaning products/technique that will clean this but not destroy the paint? Thanks!
