People have been putting pictures in old suitcases for decades. More than likely they will be fine, but if you are concerned, you could put some moisture absorbtion packets in.

They get rather musty after awhile when they are closed. Better to put your pictures in photo albums and store on a shelf. Suitcases and trunks are good to store glass items in.

I have some antique suitcases that belonged to grandparents. They have that western wallpaper look on the outside, but inside they look clean, dry, and with that same papered look. My question is this. One of these suitcases is large enough where I would love to store my 8 x 10 and 11 x 14 pictures in for safe keeping and making them easy to find. Can I do this and/or should I line them with something to preserve the pictures?
