The ticking sounds are made by deathwatch beetles in wood tunnels, maybe tunnels in your tiny, round table. If the beetles are only in the table, you have no problem. If they are in your flooring, you might have a problem.
Beatnicks used to snap their fingers after poetry readings instead of clapping.
You may have an infestation of beatnicks somewhere in all that junk.
Its probably the round table moving because of the vibration of the fan... so you should probably check the table.
Click beetle?
Ok I've been hearing this strange noise in my room for quite some time now. I'm pretty sure it's coming from a corner of my room with a tiny round table and there's all kinds of junk on it that I never use anymore. It's like a clicking noise, and it usually clicks twice and stops for a few minutes. One thing I noticed is that it only happens when I turn my fan on. I've shook and investigated several boxes that it sounds like it was coming from but I didn't find anything. There's isn't a heater close to that area. Any idea on what it could be?
