Spraying around the foundation of the house will kill them there. Sealing the places listed above will keep them from coming in there.
Some roach powder that kills roaches can be placed where you saw them run to when you turned the lights on.
If they are another kind of roach, Combat bait or gel is good to use.
Getting rid of any moisture under the sink will help because the big roaches need moisture to live. It can be found by the roach killers in stores.
Around the cracks you can sprinkle borax, especially under your sinks around pipes. Sprinkle around the doors (outside) and window frames.. At night plug your drains. Tub and sinks and close the toilet lid. Those critters come up through the pipes. Other then an exterminator, I don't know what else you can do.
Call an exterminator and ask for them to use roach gel. It comes in a syringe type tube. They squirt little threads of it inside the kitchen cabinets in an out of the way area, behind the refrigerator, in the bathroom. It works very well. Also look around to make sure there are no sources of water. Cockroaches need water. Eliminate leaking pipes, water in the saucer of houseplants, clogged drain that causes standing water in the sink, dishes left to soak overnight.
If you rent an apartment in a multi family house the landlord is responsible to take care of roaches. Report them to the city/town if they don't.
So I've been cleaning the hell out of my house because we have a baby due next week. I've not seen a roach inside in a couple years but have had an issue with "waterbugs" in the past because we live in the woods by the lake. Well I go to get a drink in the middle of this stormy night and when I flip the light on I'm horrified to see multiple large cockroaches (some call them waterbugs) in my kitchen. One even flew at me as I tried to spray it!!! It was like a terrible sify film...
Where in the hell did they come from?! And why have we not seen a trace until now? I can't bring a baby home to this.. one was even crawling in her bottle cabinet :( what is the quickest way to kill them? I don't care the cost I just don't have time to seal every little crack..
PLEASE HELP!
