Well, first would be to decide which type of beach theme - there are several. You have New England (think light houses) with bright red, blue, yellow and stark white. Then, you have Miami (think flamingos) - hot pink, neon yellow, lime green. Then, you have Cottage Beach (think seashells), which is a sandy beige, sea glass green, and turquoise blue.

I have a confusing vision, but it's still a vision. I'm trying to do a beachy theme, a tumblr theme, and just a summery theme all at once. I want it to be colorful against my plain light grey walls, but not too busy. I want to incorporate the beach since it's my favorite place, but I still want to keep it clean and calm. Any ideas on how to incorporate my ideas in with the furniture or decor would be great.
