Don't plant things in the wrong place for what they need. Plants that need sun to bloom won't bloom in the shady alcove by the front door, no matter how much you love the way it looks and want it there. Likewise, plants that need shade will never look like the pictures on the package and croak in too much sun, like ferns and hostas.
Don't overwater. Plants need water, but they don't know how to swim, so check your plants and water routine regularly to begin with, until you know what you're dealing with. More plants are killed by overwatering than under watering.
And lastly, do a little research of where you live. What zone are you in?...is your soil acidic or alkaline?...is the area you are planting on the north, south, east, west? What does the plant need to be healthy?
1. Plant what you like, as long as you have the right area and climate. 2. Water , fertilize, and weed as needed. 3. Enjoy yourself
Dont over fertilize
dont over water
dont forget you have plants
always remember to whack
