The best security option for my home?

We have found that having a video surveillance system is a better crime deterrent than other types of "security systems". When a criminal realizes that their act is being captured on video they are less likely to actually commit the crime. Video surveillance systems are getting more and more affordable for the public and you can view the feed via your smartphone so you can check in on your home while your away.

But like the other answer suggests if someone really wants to break in to your house they will no matter what security you have. Now if you have video of the act at least you have a weapon to help you fight the act rather than just a loud noise and the hopes that the cops can get their in time to catch the bad guy.

Here is one of our most popular home systems:

Have two homes. One for show and one to actually live in.

OR

Booby traps everywhere

No matter what you do, if someone wants to break in, they will find a way. Hopefully, you and the fam won't be home when they do.

Most often, just a sign that the house is monitored will deter them.

Save your money and take the fam on a Disney Vacation.

Installing a security system in your house is the best way to protect your family and house from burglary, fire and intrusion. Its the best way to feel secured in your home. With an monitoring system you get 24/7 security. So, its better to install one rather than getting burglarized.

Is it worth to use home security system installed for my home. For those who don't have them or those you don't recommend them, what all can you do to make your home as secure as possible?
