The washroom may have to comply to Accessibility even if it is just for your staff.
Read the following:
=======================================...
Selecting contractors:
1/ Look up local contractors first. work out from the closest to your location. If someone you trust has had work done
similar to yours, ask them about the contractor they used. If they were completely satisfied with their
contractor(s), ask for their telephone number.
2/ Select at least 5 your are interested
3/ Do a google/yahoo search on each of the contractors you are interested in; look for praises (check who is writing the praises to see if they have any connection to
the contractor
4/ When you are satisfied with at least 3 contractors per job, have them give you written estimates with details of work
to be done, terms, guarantee(s), cost of extras (how much do they charge if they find something not covered by the contract), paymant schedules if necessary and
whatever else you can think of to protect yourself.
5/ If the contractor tries to pressure you into signing the contract immediately with a high deposit (more than 15% - deposits over 10% normally are not paid untill material is delivered and left at your site) reject that contractor. Be careful, high pressure can be someone who sounds very convincing, but has
many reasons why you should sign on the dotted line NOW.
6/ It is always good to have another adult with you when a contractor inspects the work to be done.
7/ If you do not get at least 3 written estimates signed by the contractor - not you (do not sign yet) , go back to 1. repeat until you get written estimates signed by the contractor - not you (do not sign yet).
Read the estimates over with some who has some knowledge of the work that has to be done.
This may take longer than you thought; do not rush into it. Research, research, and more research helps.
When you are ready choose by being informed.
Good Luck
The price for installing a toilet and sink does NOT include the price of installing the water line and sewer for them. People who are installing toilets and sewers generally already have water lines and sewer lines to the exact locations where the toilet or sink are going to be. Buying a toilet and sink when you have nothing to connect them to and no definite plans in place to put in something to connect them to would really be putting the cart before the horse.
I have no idea what will have to be done to get water and sewer connections to your store. It depends where the closest place is where those already exist. It could mean tearing up your floor and who knows what other parts of the building or the street. It could be very expensive. Wait and see what info the manager has.
Yes, there are incinerating toilets. Google "Incinolet". They may not be permitted in your location. They are expensive to buy and need a dedicated 20 amp electrical circuit because they use a lot of power. They also need to be vented to outdoors.
I have a small store inside mall and I am trying to install toilet and water sink. The problem is, there's no sewer or water line I can see inside my store. The mall manager told me I have to get permission from general manager if I want to install toilet and sink so I am going to meet him soon.
My question is, how much would it cost for me install toilet and water sink there? From what I saw from homedepot, toilet and sink prices were about $100-$300 each. So I am expecting around $400 for both and I am expecting $1000-1500 for installation fee. But are these installation fee including sewer and water line installation price too or just plain installation of toilet and sink without sewer and water line?
I also heard there is incineration toilet that doesn't require sewer line. Is it true?
