Unsuccessful delivery, payment of charges, what does this mean?

The parcel may not even have been elivered due to extra charges having to be paid. "Tracking" programs use standard replies, and cannot provide exact reasons. You may receive a notice in the next few days notifying you of this and advising you how much you need to pay before you can claim the package. However, having know of the situation, you can go to the post office/mail deport to see what it is about......

did you pay it first before it was sent or was it a cod cash on delivery if it was cod which should have been listed when you bought it then you would pay the mail man. but if you wernt home you would have gotten a piece of paper from the mail man to either pick t up at your local post office or it will be delivered a different day

Crack open your piggybank and see what it means - that is, how much money you have saved.

Hello

I recently ordered a large package from South Korea and it was sent to me via EMS Delivery. I checked the Status my delivery today and it said, "Status: Unsuccessful Delivery" and "Details: Reason: Payment of charges" and "Result:"

I was out of the house today for a little bit so I probably misses the mail man but I'm a little confused. It says that the delivery failed because of payment of charges, does that mean I was supposed to pay the mail man more money? Or does it mean I've incurred a charge because I wasn't in to accept the delivery?

I live in Scotland by the way, if that makes a difference.

Reading this back, it sounds like a pretty silly question. Sorry! I don't normally receive deliveries so this is all new to me.
