Do NOT run your finger nails across finished surfaces that are painted. If you owner a car and your finger nails run over the painted surface when you open the car door, they will scratch the painted surface. The paint on a car's exterior is much harder than a Varathane surface professional or otherwise..

I recently re-finished a coffee table. I stripped it, sanded it, and stained it using minwax stain. In between coast of stain and varathane I lightly sanded it (but maybe not enough?).

I used Varathane Professional Clear Finish Satin. I followed the directions -waiting in between coats etc...it's been about 5 days and if I run my finger nails across it, it scratches...any suggestions?
