Excess moisture probably caused by poor drainage and thin grass in your yard. Aerate the lawn this fall and overseed. Do it again in the spring.

We have mushrooms growing in our yard, not just a few, but a lot. I would appreciate any help as to what causes theses things to grow and how do we get rid of them.They are ugly and we cannot eat them, so what good are they? (being funny there) Thanks for any help you can give me.
