Personally its your land ,do what you want.....but....you better check with your city or county before you do anything just to make sure it can be done with no conflict of city or county ordinance. Because if you don't and they have some ordinance against it they will fine you and make you remove it from the property at your cost.I put a fence on my front yard and it was just decreative and wasn't even a privacy fence and they came and made me shortin it.It was like 4 feet tall and I had to shortin it 2 feet.It was a split rail fence. Check it out.

If you live where there are no restrictions do what you want. My opinion is there would be more privacy in the back yard. If it is shady in the back yard and sunny in the front yard then I would put it in the side yard if sunny. Where there's shade there is leaves. I would avoid the front yard if possibles. You decide for yourself.

We are thinking of adding a pool, and we know our house use to have an in ground pool in the front yard. It's a pretty long driveway, so for the most part it's private. The house is also on the lake, so isn't the side facing the lake tecniniuqually the front of the house? The front yard is also pretty big and there is a perfect spot for it. Any ideas on the front yard pool? Thanks!
