I'm not too big on print themes and patterns on my small kitchen goods for decorating. I'm more of a solid color /theme gal myself. What I would want would be a pair of doubly-padded/double thickness potholders AND a pair of the elbow length oven mitts. If I could find a set with two of each that were thick enough to prevent burns, I'd buy it in a heartbeat.
Pot holder with a nice color is fine. No theme needed.
No dear, I'd get the thermal (kevlar) ones that will not burn your hands, regardless of the color,
