I once owned a "ranch". I named it after the road it was on since it was the only property being "farmed" on that road. I miss that place so much. Congratulations on buying it.
There are many ways to name a place. The name might come fro what you produce there to sell and make your living. One friend named his farm because of the setting of the farm such as in a valley. It might be totally unrelated to these and be, let's say , a place of rest or peace to you and that prompts in your mind a good name, even a place in your favourite book.
But whatever you name it, don't be in too much of a hurry to do it. The right name WILL come to you or a family member if you keep the naming in mind and let the place grow on you. I could suggest some names, but they would not likely fit no matter how clever they might be. Give it time.
I just purchased a ranch in upstate ny. I have 15 horses, 12 dairy cows, 60 chickens, 6 goats, 6 sheep, pigs, dogs and cats. What should I name it
