well, the best thing to do would be to get a bigger box that it'll fit in so you can lock it up. it's probably better to use a combination lock since someone could find the key and open it.

another idea that's not as secure would be to get one of those pants hangers with the 2 clips on it, put your notebooks in an extra large bag and then clip the bag to the hanger. then take this hanger and hang inside something bulky like a coat or jacket, make sure it's buttoned or zipped closed.

create a text file on your computer and hide the file in several obscure sub-folders. Then password protect your computer.

I bought a lot of notebooks on a school trip and I decided to keep a diary out of them.
