is great, when people are moving house they often choose to buy new so they don't have to move lots of stuff. Ebay, Gumtree, Freegle, Freecycle and Cheapcycle are all good sources of cheap furniture. Some people prefer to avoid free, used mattresses unless they know the giver personally. It can be very useful to use a local mover, they know how to handle & stash furniture and they know the local area well too. I bought a very nice sofa and the movers gave me a lift and moved the sofa too, it was well worth it to save my back !
Hi - one of the great stores for inexpensive bedroom furniture and lots of other items - is Ikea - look for a store in your area. They will also deliver and put the furniture together for you at an extra cost - well worth it :)

Argos, homebase and ikea are good places to buy furniture, they have a lot of cheap items that are good value for money
