Put the one you don't use where someone who will use it can reach it easily.
Soap placement dishes are not usually a deal breaker for someone buying a house.
And you may not choose to sell anyway.
I ve done it for 20 + years and the bath soap dish I put in the middle one tile up from the tub..
And the shower soap dish I always asked the people a couple of questions. If you shower faceing the water I suggested to put it on the shower head wall for easy reach when faceing the water. If you shower with your back to the water while you lather up, I suggest a easy to reach place there, faceing away from the shower head..
Then you ll want them at chest or shoulderr height so as to keep some water out of the dish although they have slanted drains in them..GL
Put it where it is easier for you.
all bath have a corner for soap, do not change as the tiling as when you want to sell it is out of function.
as for the shower it has a rising bar and has utilities as your need such as dumb waiter
with stainless steel, and could be put away as you get out, but there is the danger as the bath and you as say as disabled when exiting this the problem.
The contractor is suggesting 2 soap dishes...1 for bath, 1 for shower.....
where should I put the shower soap dish? (corner of wall with shower head, above bath dish, etc)
I am disabled and use a shower stool...so the 'bath' soap dish works fine for me......but I may be selling in 5-10 years..so i want something a buyer might like.
