Why not have a remote deck roof like cars?

It's not uncommon at all, just a lot more expensive than typical patio roof.

they are available but most people can't afford such a luxury

They are already available made from different materials.

T-tops work all the same, and I'm sure their is a remote sensor to open and close that. Talk to an engineer about it.

They already exist. You can have one, if you can afford one.

You know how fancy cars come with a remote and the roof of the car comes down? Or some football stadiums have dome roofs that open and close.

Why not have a roof like that for a deck? So when it rains you can just cover the deck yet still go outside.

Is this possible?
