It needs at least 5 hours of sun a day. And it needs to be turned some each time it is watered to keep it from leaning toward the light.
Cactus are from deserts and they live in heat and not much water. They store up water inside them to live in the desert. Too much water will make them swell and break open.
I have a little round ball cactus that I got for Christmas (I don't know the species ) and I gave it potted in a little pot. I have it on my window sill so it can get sunlight. Earlier today it for knocked on my window sill and landed on my floor. Soil was everywhere and it broke off some of the little spines on one side. I placed it back in the pot and patted it down, trying to make it like it was before it fell over. The soil was dry so I gave it a little water & now it's sitting on a table neat a window. Will my cactus be okay or will it die? I know nothing about cacti and I would love some tips on future cactus care.
