No. More than likely, the spider survived and went back to it's nest. It's spread the tale of your cruelty to it's thousands of children, and they will come for you in the night. No shoe is safe, no blanket is safe.

So I came across a spider that's was pretty large, at least to me, about a 2 inch long body and 4 inches in diameter including legs.

I sprayed it with rubbing alcohol from a bottle but it escaped the room about 5 mminutes ago. I believe I didn't completely douse it but I got some of it.

So will it die within a short while? I don't exactly like spiders, no problem if I can't see them but they die as soon as I see them.
