I would put the mattress on the floor and put it between the 2 windows. I wouldn't do chalkboard paint there. You can frame an area in on one of the other walls and put chalkboard paint above the desk. You'd only need a small amount. Or get a chalkboard decal to put above the desk. Paint that back wall a different color than the rest of the room. Make your own pillows to color coordinate. I don't know what all furniture you have but that'd be a start.
hey I love your room it's cool! I guess you should really be very careful while positioning your furniture because you really shouldn't be wanting to spoil the elegant look your room has. I spend a lot of online looking up designing websites since I'm doing an interior designing course from my university. I like this website http://www.bedroommyplacewithstyle.com/ and I think you should spend some more time on the internet to look for some cool ideas online. Best of luck.
Don't try to use wood paint... Ot will shine like glassy type and u r using in bedroom it should be of dim colour so use paint n vinier to get it attractive...
I am moving to a new house and my bedroom will be in the attic. The room is pretty big (14ft by 26ft). It is shaped a little strangely though. There are not many windows and on the two long sides of the room there are 2 window nooks per side that go back about 5 ft and are about 2'6" wide. There is a nice window bench that is at the back of the room that I would like to put cushions on and use. I want to paint the back wall (above window bench) with chalkboard paint and put a huge picture collage on both of the slanty walls. I really want my room to look tumblrish! My question is where to put my bed and other furniture!
*This picture only shows the back 1/2 of my room but the other 1/2 looks about the same but the small wall at the front has the door and a closet door.
