HI, IT SHOULD COVER NICELY WITH WHITE PAINT.I WOULD GET MORE THAN 1 BRUSH. MAYBE A 3" AND A THINNER 2" BRUSH. TRY TO GET NATURAL BRISTLE BRUSHES IN ORDER TO NOT LEAVE BRUSH MARKS. DON'T FORGET A DROP CLOTH. REMOVE THE DRAWS BEFORE PAINTING THE DRESSER. I'D ALSO REM OVE THE HANDLES OR KNOBS . ASK THE PERSON IN THE STORE FOR A DECENT PAINT AND ASK THEM HOW MUCH YOU'LL NEED . A WATER BASED PAINT WOULD PROBABLY BE FINE. IT'S ALSO EASIER TO CLEAN UP. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS , ASK SOMEONE .PERHAPS YOUR DAD, BROTHER ,UNCLE, ETC. TAKE YOUR TIME FOR THE BEST RESULTS. GOOD LUCK !
heavy grained woods like oak will still show the texture of the grain after painting
lighter grained woods like poplar won't
you didn't mention the species
would look a lot better if you used spray paint
You would need to sand it down first as I assume is is varnished. It should come up OK.
.
If I bought some furniture the same as this, would I be able to paint it white and would it look professional, like it was hite all along?? Has anybody ever painted this wood? Does it paint well?
