If you are too close to others, then it may matter. Especially if you are tucking your shirt in trousers, then your panty(underware) lines may show a V-shape from back side and people may make fun of you. But normally for men, this is not that objectionable or cognizable as in cae of ladies it really bithers all if panty likes are visible. I suggest you to take proper care in sizing of your undewares.
