I've been looking at MAD sick crewneck sweatshirts on the internet for the past few days. If I could buy all the ones I wanted, I would have about 20 CNs. If you break it down, 10 is a fair amount of CNs for both fall and winter, but I don't to always be wearing a CN. 20 CNs would be a rather copious amount for all four seasons. Cool summer nights....I always bring along a CN and if need be, just drape it over my shoulders. Summer rains can be downright COLD, so again a CN would be perfect. If you are near the Ocean or eating outdoors at night at a sidewalk café, CN's are perfect. They also make a Lightweight cotton summer wool/knit for summer CN's.
