It's very elegant and nice; I definitely like it. The only thing I'd suggest is wearing shorts under.

I think it needs a flowing neck scarf the material and color of the dress, that hangs in front and back that is tied at the side of your neck, and a broach pinned on the front to resemble a choker. It needs a little more material to draw the eye up, because of the empire design. Chokers work well with it, but the covering a little more of one shoulder is what I was trying to effect to appear balanced in a unique way. A fabric store might carry this same material to make this choker scarf. That's' how I would wear it for this occasion. It is a pretty dress.
