If you're only going up a small amount, don't waste your money on a kit. Normal earrings (what you're probably at right now) is a size 20g or 18g. You can go right to a size 16g, then 12g, then 10g if you want. You can get really good deals at Hot Topic and Spencers - Buy one, get one half off. So you'll be spending $15-20 for two different gauges. Just remember to clean them regularly because they can really stink.
