I know that you aren't supposed to wear just any type of earrings after 6 weeks, you have to wear silver-posts (that's what the girl who pierced my ears said, at least). If everything looks OK with your new piercings you can change them as often as you want now, but you should continue to wear light weight earrings all the time, 24/7, until your ears have been pierced for at least six months. Then you can wear any earrings you want. No matter how long your ears have been pierced, if you wear heavy earrings one day it is best to let your ears rest with light weight earrings the next day.

Yeah yeah they say that don't they! I wouldn't worry unless you have a specific ear infection or whatever and need to wear sterling silver or gold. If you're not too bothered, I would just take them out and put any random earrings in.

I have never heard that, I dont know why she said that. you can wear whatever you want once theyre fully healed.

I have 3 ear-piercings on each ear on my lobe, I kept mine in for 7 weeks then changed them into retainers. (Plastic earrings, They are completely made out of plastic, even the posts, it's impossible to be allergic and they are easy to clean. They are also really cheap. I would buy them online cause you can get like 30+ retainers for $5.

You can wear earrings now. Don't wear .heavy earrings
