I recently bought a rucksack that i loved however after a few weeks one strap fell off (the stitching between the strap and bag at the top had torn) - I was wondering how to attach the strap bag effectively? If the end of the strap came out of the seam, I would insert the strap end back in the seam and resew it, using a similar but smaller stitch length. I'd then reinforce the seam by using a wide strip of twill tape, bent around the seam as if you were using double fold bias binding, and sew through the seam area again.
