Where I work, we sell unwanted goods, like an auction. Someone had brought in pretty necklace and I purchased it for £2. When I got home, I decided I would look at it for markings or hallmarks. It is a chain with diamond "looking" pendant in a H. Samuel case. When I was looking at the chain, I saw in very, very small print what I think looks like 925. However, when looking at the pendant, I saw no markings or hallmarks. There is also no erosion or fading on it and the pendant and the chain are gold colored. I took it into the jewelers earlier today and they said it's "gold-plated" but payed no attention to the chain. They did the diamond beep tester thing and it didn't make a sound! So, can anyone inform me as to what the hell I have?! Any help is appreciated! Thank you :)Where I work, we sell unwanted goods, like an auction. 925 marking means it is sterling silver.
