I know hats as a standard male apparel were on their way out by the mid-sixties, but in 1964, did most men still wear hats, or were they a minority? Were there any trends in terms of age or class? What sort of hats remained popular? Thanks!I know hats as a standard male apparel were on their way out by the mid-sixties, but in 1964, did most men still wear hats, or were they a minority? Depended on the occasions
Depends how old these men were, and their class. Adults over 25 would still wear fedoras as business attire, and many wore ties even when they weren't working.
