On the more chilly nights out, i would find a really thick skater skirt and pair it with a crop knit sweater. Keep in mind that if it's still to cold, you can wear a denim jacket on top of that along with some tights or leggings. And as for hanging out with your friends, I would wear an infinity scarf paired with a cute top and some jeans. You could also always go for a floral dress paired with a knit cardigan.
