I like the 2nd one, black watch looks great. The first one is more expensive than the 2nd one, yet the 2nd one looks nicer.

The first one is probably more appropriate but the black one looks better, however, the black one won't go with all of his clothes, it may also damage more easily and black watches haven't been in style for quite some time, they go in and out VERY quickly and are more of a teen thing than an adult.
