White chunky sandals are really in right now and I love them so much. Here's a good pair, but you can find them pretty much anywhere: The ones on eBay are ridiculously cheap and I love them so much.
I agree with the sandals and flats although you can never go wrong with a pair of converse, vans or toms with jean skirt. Perhaps even a pair of doc martians if you want a more 'grunge-y' look.
