I'm 14 and next year I want to possibly convince my parents to let me get a bikini. I don't have much to show off *yet* if you know what I mean. I know this is somewhat contradicting myself, but are there any "more modest" bikinis? I don't know if my mom and dad will let me get one but it's worth a shot, right? My mom and dad had a rule for my sister and I regarding swimwear. As long as nothing was "hanging out" we could wear it. That means no butt cheeks, no major cleavage, and no butt cracks. I will probably use the same rule with my daughter. Maybe you could suggest that to your parents.

Wow I've worn bikinis since I was like 6 aha. I guess all parents have different views on it but its your choice.. The only difference is that a bikini just doesn't cover your belly up. Just ask then straight up aha. Good luck.

all parents are different I wore bikinis from the age of like 8 but that's just me. What I would say is hey mom I need some bathing suits can we go shopping. than pick out a bikini and be like I wanna try one on I think that im getting to old for one pieces if she says no than I would try to at least try it on so she can see its not that bad.
